About Our Founder
Born and raised in Mandeville, Jamaica, Shaddae Smith founded LEAD Atletiks in 2022 after discovering a passion for caring for her mind, body, and soul through her own personal wellness journey.
After struggling with confidence, health, and overall wellness during college, she leaned on faith, community, and personal growth to rebuild her relationship with herself. Along the way, she realized that quality athleisure pieces didn’t always feel accessible, and, in general, she didn’t often see herself represented within the health and wellness space.
Inspired by her father’s words to never be a follower but a leader, she created LEAD Atletiks to provide quality athleisure wear while encouraging intentional movement, authentic growth, and a community where people feel seen, supported, and represented.
